Ombudsman is not done collecting money…
On September 15, 2017, Judge Friedman issued an order approving the Ombudsman invoice for December 2016. However, it was not immediately clear whether a budget for this period was approved by the Court as the previous budget only went through August 2015.
Judge Friedman ordered the Ombudsman to be paid $4,558.97 for work performed in December 2016.
From this money, $2,087.72 will be paid to the Ombudsman and $2,501.25 will be paid to the Deputy Ombudsman. Judge Friedman once again ordered that the Court must pay the Ombudsman within 15 days from the date of the order.
Remember, this money does not come out of the administrative costs fund used to pay the settlement administrator but rather comes directly out of the fund set aside for the benefit of class members.
