On December 7, 2012 Judge Friedman issued an order regarding the request for $90 million in attorneys’ fees.
The Court’s order states that it does not need further evidence of time billed by class counsel despite their offer to provide more information.
The Court also stated that it would not need to hear oral arguments regarding this motion. That could speed up the process.
However, the Court stated that it intended to issue a decision on the Motion for Attorneys’ Fees and Expenses in January 2013.
It is not clear from the order whether the timing of the attorneys’ fees decision will affect the timing of distribution of settlement awards.
We’ll try to stay up to date on this.
