Even more Ombudsman checks approved…
On September 18, 2013, Judge Friedman issued an order approving the Ombudsman invoice for July 2013 as part of the $399,690.00 budget previously approved for work the Ombudsman was to perform between March 1, 2013 and August 31, 2013.
Judge Friedman ordered the Ombudsman to be paid $27,235.95 for work performed in July 2013. The Ombudsman apparently performed over $27,000.00 worth of work in July though we haven’t seen the invoice so we don’t know what work was done exactly.
From this money, $11,349.75 will be paid to the Ombudsman and $15,886.20 will be paid to the Deputy Ombudsman. Judge Friedman once again ordered that the Court must pay the Ombudsman within 15 days from today.
Remember, this money does not come out of the administrative costs fund used to pay the settlement administrator but rather comes directly out of the fund set aside for the benefit of class members.
Expect at least one more order for checks to the Ombudsman for August 2013.
